In my first weeks working in Denver, Colorado, I met Frances Jo Hamilton. She used to (1) _______ the Main Street Director in Delaware, Ohio, and now she leads the Main Street program for all of Ohio. Frances Jo shared a memorable story about (2) _______ she organized a team of volunteers to clean the sidewalks downtown using fire hoses. This wasn't just a random idea; her grandmother remembered people doing this decades ago, before the downtown area lost (3) _______ charm.

Hearing her story reminded me of something many Main Street leaders share: a love for the places we serve. Her volunteers did more than clean sidewalks; they built (4) _______ . The work was challenging, with volunteers outside all night, but they connected deeply with each (5) _______ and with their community, making the experience unforgettable.

I had an amazing trip to Hoi An, Vietnam, with my family. We arrived by bus on Saturday afternoon, 3 July, and my uncle and aunt (1) _______ us up from the station. My cousins (2) _______ at home to talk about our plans for the week.

On Saturday, we (3) _______ the Old Town of Hoi An. We walked around the beautiful streets and saw the Japanese Covered Bridge, (4) _______ was built in the 16th century. Then, we went to a local market and tried some delicious Vietnamese food.

On Sunday, we spent the day at An Bang Beach. We relaxed by the sea and enjoyed the sunshine. Later, we visited the Hoi An Museum, where we learned about the town's history and (5) _______ connection to old trade routes. It was a(n) (6) _______ trip, and we had a great time together.

1. Victoria Falls in Zambia is a famous natural wonder, known for its kilometre-long waterfall that drops 354 feet and creates impressive clouds of mist. However, the stunning views are slowly disappearing as parts of the falls are drying up, leaving stretches of rock and smaller water flows. This change has left some visitors feeling disappointed.

2. While it is normal for the falls to experience reduced water flow during the dry season, experts have noticed an unusual and sharp decline in recent years. Rising temperatures caused by climate change have significantly reduced water levels, threatening not only the beauty of the falls but also the health of its ecosystem and the local economy that relies on tourism.

3. Natural wonders like Victoria Falls are a vital part of our planet's beauty and diversity. To protect these treasures, reducing carbon emissions is essential to reduce the effects of climate change.

1. Socotra Archipelago is a group of four islands in the Indian Ocean that belong to Yemen. The largest island, also named Socotra, covers about 2,250 square kilometres. The island is well-known for its incredible biodiversity, with over 30% of its plants being unique to the island and found nowhere else in the world. Socotra is one of the most isolated places on Earth, and because of this, many plants and animals have evolved in unique ways. One of the most famous plants on the island is the dragon's blood tree, which has an unusual umbrella shape. According to legend, these trees first grew where two brothers fought and died, giving the tree its name in Arabic, meaning “the blood of the two brothers.”

2. Socotra is often called Yemen's “Garden of Eden” because of its rich variety of plants and animals. It is home to nearly 700 species that exist only on the island. In 2008, Socotra was recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site due to its unique ecosystem. Around 37% of its plants, 90% of its reptiles, and 95% of its land snails are found only on Socotra. The island's long isolation and harsh environment, with extreme heat and little rainfall, have created a special habitat that supports these rare species.
