        Diwali is an important Indian festival. Diwali is also known as the Festival of Lights. People in Indian and Nepal celebrate Diwali to mark the end of the Hindu calendar year. Diwali is an international holiday in Indian and Nepal. The Diwali celebrations last for five days. Many other countries around the world hold multicultural events to mark the holiday, too.
